One to One

Our private one to one course is a brilliant way to start your pottery journey. We will focus on either wheel-throwing or hand-building basics, based on your preference. You will have the whole studio to yourself and the teacher's full attention. We will go through all the basics and tailor the course to your needs. In our wheel-throwing class you will learn how to prepare the clay, center and throw it to create basic shapes on the wheel. You can throw multiple pieces and choose one to be glazed and fired. If you decide to book more than one session, we can also cover the basics of trimming and glazing your pieces. In our hand-building class you will learn how to prepare the clay and different techniques like pinching and coiling to create basics shapes. You can build multiple pieces and choose one to be fired. If you decide to book more than one session, we can also cover the basics of decorating and glazing your pieces. We also offer group bookings for up to 6 people, please get in touch with us to discuss details. WHAT TO BRING We have aprons for you but as working with clay can get messy, it's best to wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Ideally cut your nails short, it'll make working with clay much easier. MATERIALS AND TOOLS All clay and tools needed for the class will be provided. We will glaze one of your pieces in one of our three base glazes (white, transparent or black) unless you'd like to come back for another class and glaze your work yourself. TERMS OF CANCELLATION Our classes are non refundable but we're happy to offer to change your booked session to a later date if we're notified 48 hours before.
